How to change family relations between persons and adding emotional relationships between persons is shown in this video.
GenoTool starts default in auto mode in which the system does all the drawing and changes on the canvas. But for advanced drawings you can also switch to manual mode. In this mode you can move the objects and lines on the canvas any way you want.
You can enable a legend that will show the used symbols in your drawing.
